As the Indian digital footprint grows, Influencer marketing is growing alongside performance & brand marketing, estimated to be $800M market by 2026. Giving a lot of Indian influencers and creators to make a serious career out of it.
Currently, India has 20-25 lakhs influencers out of which only 2-3 lakhs are able to make a good income in the range of Rs. 50K per month. Depending on the number of followers, the salary typically goes up to Rs. 5 Lakh per month.
India has about 480M people with smartphones in 2024 and estimated to grow to 600M by 2026. Indians spend an average of 4 hours on social media daily most of which is done using Genz. Most of them also follow at least 2-3 influencers on social media adding to influencer marketing growth numbers. With shortening attention span, it makes sense for brands to invest in influencers to reach consumers.
